Still earlier logo and certification marks are valid for use till you complete next surveillance/ recertification audit. Hence earlier logo and certification marks will be completely replaced to new logo and certification marks by December 2025 end.
1. BMSPL Logo Policy
- BMSPL certification marks indicate conformance of the organization’s management system with the requirements of the applicable ISO standard.
- In line with requirements specified in ISO/IEC 17021-1:2015, logos are not indication of product conformity, and such are not to be used on a product, or in a way that may be interpreted as denoting product or performance conformity.
- BMSPL policy governing any mark that it authorizes certified clients to This assures, among other things, traceability back to BMSPL. There is no ambiguity, in the mark or accompanying text, as to what has been certified and which certification body has granted the certification. This mark shall not be used on a product or product packaging seen by the consumer or in any other way that may be interpreted as denoting product conformity.

2. BMSPL Mark

BMSPL has developed 3 different certification marks for 3 different schemes. Size and colour combination for these certification marks is defined in Appendix-A
3. Accreditation Board Mark ( UAF mark)
Electronic copies of the mark can be obtained from BMSPL.
Rules for use of UAF mark
- A certified organization may use the UAF accreditation mark only in conjunction with the BMSPL certification mark on the organization’s stationery and literature, and in its advertising, subject to the conditions in this Accreditation Rule and to the BMSPL’s conditions for use of its
- The UAF accreditation mark shall be reproduced:
- In same colour
- In a size which makes all features of the mark clearly distinguishable
- Without distortion of it’s dimensions.
- When using the UAF accreditation mark, its size must not exceed the size of the BMSPL certification
- An organization may not place the UAF accreditation mark in isolation from the BMSPL certification
- UAF accreditation mark shall not be used on a product or in such a way as to suggest that the BMSPL and/or UAF have certified or approved any product, process, or service of a certified organization, or in any other misleading
- UAF accreditation mark shall not be applied to laboratory test, calibration or inspection Reports, as such reports are deemed to be products in this
- UAF accreditation mark shall not be used on larger boxes , for transportation. However, a clear statement may be printed to the effect that the product contained therein was manufactured in a facility with [quality or environmental or Occupational Health & Safety] management systems certified as being in conformity with specific standard [such as ISO 9001 or ISO 14001 or ISO 45001.
- UAF Accreditation Symbol is a combination of UAF Logo with unique accreditation number as granted to BMSPL written below the UAF Logo. The design of the UAF logo is enclosed at Appendix ‘A’. The design specifies the proportions of the logo and the colour combinations in which it can be reproduced. It can not be used in any other design / any other form by any certified client of BMSPL.
- The use of UAF Accreditation Symbol as relevant by the client organizations of BMSPL, when permitted (after accepting rules in this document), will be under the control and supervision of BMSPL. BMSPL will take reasonable actions to ensure that the use of the accreditation symbol by BMSPL client organizations is within the conditions specified below. The IAF MLA Mark shall not be used by client organizations of BMSPL.
- Content, Size and Reproduction :
a) The UAF Accreditation Symbol shall be reproduced using UAF logo in the proportions and the colours indicated in Appendix `A’. The size of the UAF logo shall not normally be reduced below the size 15×12 mm. In the event of reproduction in smaller size owing to limitation of space, the logo shall be legible with no infilling of space and letters. The symbol shall be reproduced based on the master supplied by BMSPL to client organization, including accreditation number mentioned below UAF logo. Redrawn masters should never be used.
b) The UAF Accreditation Symbol shall not be reproduced by a client organization in isolation of the BMSPL certification mark.
c) The mark shall only be printed in the colour combination or in the grey-black combination as specified in the Appendix A.
4. BMSPL Control of Ownership
4.1 BMSPL requires that you, as a client organization:
a) Conform to BMSPL requirements when making reference to its certification status in communication media such as the internet,
brochures or advertising, or other documents
b) Do not make or permit any misleading statement regarding its certification,
c) Do not use or permit the use of a certification document or any part thereof in a misleading manner,
d) Upon suspension or withdrawal of its certification, discontinue its use of all advertising matter that contains a reference to certification,
as directed by BMSPL,
e) Amend all advertising matter when the scope of certification has been reduced,
f) Do not allow reference to its management system certification to be used in such a way as to imply that BMSPL certifies a product
(including service) or process,
g) Do not imply that the certification applies to activities that are outside the scope of certification, and
h) Do not use its certification in such a manner that would bring BMSPL and/or certification system into disrepute and lose public trust.
4.2 BMSPL exercises proper control of ownership and takes action to deal with incorrect references to certification status or misleading use of certification documents, marks or audit Such action could include requests for correction and corrective action, suspension, withdrawal of certification, publication of the transgression and, if necessary, legal action.
5. Marketing Your Certification
Achieving BMSPL certification as per ISO management system standards places you amongst BMSPL client, companies who can demonstrate that they have an effective management system. This is good news and is worth shouting about. So how can you leverage BMSPL brand and your certification?
- Place banners on your building
- Use the logo on your letter heads
- Use the logo on your business cards
- Advertise your company worldwide on BMSPL website (ask us for details)
- Advertise your approval on a web Include a statement on your system approval in your marketing material, if you state clearly that the system is approved (not the product) you can also use BMSPL logo
6. Action on Suspension and Termination
- a) Upon suspension of the certification by BMSPL, the client organization shall immediately cease to use its stationery, certificates and other publicity material that has BMSPL certification mark and/or UAF Accreditation Symbol. The use can be restarted only after the suspension is revoked by BMSPL.
- b) Upon termination of the certification on account of non-renewal / withdrawal of the certification, the client shall immediately cease to use its stationery, certificates and other publicity material that has BMSPL certification mark and /or UAF Accreditation Symbol.
BMSPL is always ready to help and advise you on how to maximize use of your certification.
BMSPL will take suitable action to deal with incorrect references to the certification or misleading use of certification marks found in advertisements, catalogues, etc.
Note – Such action could include corrective action, withdrawal of certification, publication of the transgression and, if necessary, other legal action.
1. For UAF logo / mark to be used along with BMSPL certification mark
This accreditation mark along with BMSPL certification mark will be provided in soft copy to certified client. The number below picture indicates accreditation number of BMSPL. Hence neither the UAF mark nor the number below it shall be changed. For each scheme of accreditation, this number will be different and hence must be used with correct accreditation number only. Guidelines for colour and size are as below:
UAF symbol should have a minimum height of 10 mm and minimum width of 15mm
2. For BMSPL Certification Marks:
BMSPL will provide separate certification mark for each scheme of certification after achieving the certification. The certification marks and there description are as below:
